HotDog PageWiz can be used in two distinct modes (Express Mode and Editor Mode).

1. Express Mode - Four Steps to get you up and running!

Express Mode is designed to help you get up and running quickly and easily, by guiding you through a simple 4 step process to your very first Web page...

	Choose your template ·Choose from a number of pre-defined Web page templates, the large preview area displays how the template would appear on the Web.
	Build your page · Use the simple drag and drop WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get!) editing environment to build and edit your Web page. Express mode provides a simplified set of editing and formating functions to allow you to create basic Web pages and the Visual Property sheet displays the relevant editable attributes of each HTML object as you click on it.
	View your page · Preview how your Page will appear on the Web and quickly apply different styles to your page. You can easily create and edit styles with the handy style Wizard.
	Publish your page · HotDog PageWiz comes with a simplified one step publishing interface. By simply selecting your ISP (Internet Service Provider) from the list, and pressing the Publish your Page button, you will have your page on the Web in no time. There is also a link verifier to check if your linked files are correct and externally linked files will automatically be published with your page.

2. Editor Mode - Turn yourself into a Webmaster!

As you gain confidence in your Web design abilities, HotDog PageWiz will help you take the next step. By switching to "Editor Mode" you suddenly have a more dynamic tool with the ability to edit in either a visual or text environment. You also gain access to advanced HTML options such as tables and form elements, whilst still retaining the same helpful dialogs, wizards and simplified publishing interface that you became accustomed to in Express Mode.

Resource Panels:   1. Local File Manager Use the Local File Manager to manipulate or filter files. Using drag and drop, the Local File Manager provides an easy way of inserting links into your documents. 2. Property Sheet The HTML Property Sheet will provide you with assistance when designing your Web page. The panel provides access to all HTML tags and attributes. 3. HTML Tags The HTML Tags Panel allows you to easily insert HTML into your Web documents. It can also show you which browsers support various tags, a useful resource when building a site that must be optimized for all browser types. 4. Extended Characters The Extended Character Resource Panel gives you access to the extended character set. An example of such a character is the copyright (©) symbol. 5. Bookmarks/Favorites PageWiz will provide you with quick access to your Netscape and Internet Explorer Bookmarks and Favorites so you can easily insert them in your Web page.

Authoring Mode:   1. WYSIWYG Editing Simple WYSIWYG editing tool. Drag and drop images, tables, links and bookmarks/favorites. 2. Advanced HotDog Pro style HTML text editing Great to learn HTML and easy to use whether you are a new HotDog user or a veteran HotDog Professional user. 3. Internal Preview Easily view your pages within the internal browser window. 4. One Step Publishing / Link Verifier Before publishing your Web page, HotDog PageWiz will check that all your links are correct, and will then use the internal FTP software to upload your Web page to the Internet.. There's no need to buy a separate FTP client!

Wizards: Images Browse and select an image file from your hard drive and the HTML attributes will automatically be filled in, saving your time. Links The Links Wizard allows you to easily add links to external or local Web pages. Tables The Table Wizard gives you step-by-step help when building complex tables. Forms The Form Wizard allows you to easily configure a functional form, to accept user input information from your Web page.
