G'Day Sizzlers!
Let me thank you all for making our release of HotDog
Professional 7 so successful! Note that we only let Sizzler
subscribers know about the release saving a full release until
this week. Yes there are benefits in getting this newsletter!
Your feedback via the forums, email and talking to our developers
has helped us get rid of some previously unknown bugs along with
adding in a few features your fellow users requested. So we now
have HotDog Professional 7.01 Build 2.
Download it here:

I have even featured a couple of comments from our users who have
dealt with our development team in the past week. Why? Well
because I want you all to see that we are serious about keeping
this ball rolling! While this weeks HotDog Helper does a quick
run through the benefits of the new tools menu, as seen by Kevin
Hannan.
So you have not upgraded to Professional 7 yet? You can do so for
only US$39.95 (includes Boomer and Xara MenuMaker), if you are a
version 5 or 6 user, here:

Keep on sizzling!

We have had a few unsolicited comments on the new version, via
email and the forums. We are attempting to deal with any problems
as quickly as possible. Here are just a couple of the comments we
have received:
From a now satisfied George H. Walenga -
"Thank you! The second round of fixes addressed most, if not all
of my issues. I appreciate the fast turn around time from people
reporting to the time you corrected the issues".
From the Sizzler's own Bram Leland Scolnick -
"I'm blown away by some new things that HD offers, like the Perl
script tool. I'm not a programmer.. AT ALL. I design. I have
PHP programmers that do what I need for large things... but to
have a tool that can generate Perl scripts to do what I need
would help me with small jobs when I can't find the right script
online".
If you would like to share your experiences (good or bad!) with
our support and devleopment teams let me know at:

Tools Overview
In HotDog Professional 7 SuperToolz has become obsolete in favor
of ten great new tools. Right now I'm going to take a walk
through doing my website using these tools to show you how I gain
speed, precision, flexibility and complete control. You can too,
no matter what size or purpose your website.
Sometimes I need an image map, which is a large picture with
'hot-spots' on it, which typically link to other pages. Getting
the co-ordinates right for regular and irregular polygons
(squares, circles and odd-shapes to you and me) used to take a
lot of time using other programs but now I use the Image Mapper
and it works it all out for me. All I have to do is insert the
code and I save money not buying other software!
Depending on who my websites are for, when my pages change I want
to entertain the user with a little snap, crackle and pop on an
otherwise boring wait by using Page Transitions. By using this
wizard I can choose from all 23 selections plus a random
generator so the user is always entertained when a new page is
loading.
Like everybody else I also use Gif pictures to brighten up my
website but I've always been aware they can get a little large
and take a while to load. Because I want to impress my visitors
with quick-loading pages (and keep them coming back) I can now
use the GifOptimiser Wizard to compress these files with minimal
loss in quality. What's more I can save masses of time by using
the Wizard to do a whole folder of Gif files for me at one time!
I also use the GifAnimator to create and edit pre-made
animations. I find the options in this wizard allows me complete
control over every aspect of Gif animations and I will be talking
about this detail soon.
I've also had some fun inserting Flash files in, well, a flash
with FlashWizard! All I do is select my Flash file, choose which
options I want from the easy-to-use properties sheet and then
cut-and-paste the code where I need it. These wizards are making
my day quicker and more productive so I have more time later on
for learning more fun stuff.
I know some of my clients want SQL soon and having not done it
too much before I'll be asking some questions on the Sizzler
Forums to 'gen-up' real quick. So I was pleased to see that I can
now create powerful SQL tables with the SQL Table Builder Wizard.
All the options associated with SQL tables are included here in a
complete and efficient Table Generator. I can also create SQL
queries on the fly too with the SQL Query Builder Wizard.
Throughout all this, I'll be using Code Explorer to easily find
and manage my code from any number of html files to cut and paste
established and working code into my new project.
Before I publish my website I check out its structure and links
using the Site Mapper to ensure its integrity. Proof-reading is
hard and I like my websites to have that professional edge by
making sure there's no way I can frustrate my users. Then when
I'm nearly done I run my website through the HTML File
Compression Wizard to create smaller and faster loading pages.
Everything about HotDog Professional is geared towards giving the
website creator the tools and the edge for a high quality and
professional website, and I get the credit!
Now version 7 runs faster, uses less system overheads and has a
number of new features I'm pleased that I've made it my choice.
Why don't you see for yourself by downloading it now?
